Microsoft confirms they will delete Minecraft Java on December
Microsoft has confirmed that Minecraft: Java Edition will be deleted on DECEMBER 14
„Minecraft Java will be deleted on December 14 because Bedrock edition will replace it“ -Jeb, CEO of Minecraft
Until then, players will be able to transfer their files to the bedrock edition of the game, with the file converter now available on minecraft.net
Jeb has also stated:
„Minecraft bedrock edition is just better than Java. It has a great Marketplace and much more skin customisations. Great server such as Mineplex also exist “
On December 14 Minecraft Java will be deleted and players will no longer be able to acces it.
Jeb has also stated that the comunity might be a little bit sad to see the Java edition go away, but in the end Minecraft bedrock is just so much better in every way, so players will just get used to it.
